Many politicians enter the political arena lacking real life experiences in financial and business matters whereas I after twenty two years in banking throughout Victoria and Tasmania and then twenty three years in self employment have had plenty of experience to all types of situations.

For example the award winning Mitre 10 store and associated companies of New Norfolk started in 1988 has created local employment and enjoyed stong financial success due to the knowledge, dedication and hard work by myself,family members and staff.

As well as working happily with past banking colleagues and Mitre 10 employees I have have a proven and successful track record as a Mitre 10 Australia director, Derwent Valley Councillor, Chamber of Commerce President, Hobart Sporting Car Club President and I am at present the current Derwent Valley Field and Game President (additional information on these achievements is contained on this website)

HUNTING, FISHING AND RECREATION IN THE COUNTRY

The majority of Australia's population has over the last one hundred years moved from living in the country to living in our cities and accordingly many outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, camping, horse riding, four wheel driving etc are all being restricted due to the disconnect between country and city - it is my intention to make sure that people that enjoy these activities get a fair go.

FARMING

Our farmers are being forced from the land due to lack of appropriate assistance and legislation and it would be my strong intention to help farmers to remain viable so that Australia can produce enough food for our country to be self sufficient and not rely on importing food from overseas.
