Lyell Highway Upgrade Granton to New Norfolk

Through many earlier years of lobbying through the Derwent Valley Council,Chamber of Commerce and other political affiliations assisted in convincing the current Tasmanian Labor Government to spend over 13 million to upgrade the Lyell Highway between Granton and New Norfolk with this work being completed over the past three years.



Whilst appreciating the State government very much for this upgrade it is now anticipated that these highway improvements will bring extra financial and employment benefits to New Norfolk and the Derwent Valley in general due to the extra residential and business development that will occur due to this particular highway improvement.
